1. Discourse and Gender
1.1. Language and Sexual Identity. The relationship between discourse and gender is more complex. The language that women and men use is quite difference, depends of the context. e.g. language that woman use when she speaks to man is different when she speaks to other woman
2. Discourse and Ideology
2.1. Ideology in discourse is not about national principle, but here it is what we think and believe. And in this case, the text is free nor are they objective. e.g. when we read newspaper, sometimes we can find an idiology on the text based on author bias.
3. Discourse and Identity
3.1. A person may have a number of identities. e.g. a woman who is being mother (in home), also she is an office worker (in office).
4. Discourse Communities
4.1. the types of group of language users
4.1.1. Communities is a group of people who share substantial amounts of time together in common endeavors.
4.1.2. Collectives is a group of people that has the same interest without the frequency or intensity of contact of a community.
4.1.3. Networks is a group of people that never met each other but praticipating in a common discourse.
