3.1.4. Hindsight bias - the belief that one could have predicted an outcome after it already occurred

3.1.5. Overconfidence bias - the belief that one has the ability to perform certain task based on no facts. It happens because the individual does not behold any information on the requirements of the task, and ignores it, estimating himself to be able to perform it without seeking more information or inputs.

13. The brain uses several time more fuel (Oxygenated Glucoze) when rapidly switching from task to task instead of concentrating on one thing.

13.1. “And the kind of rapid, continual shifting we do with multitasking causes the brain to burn through fuel so quickly that we feel exhausted and disoriented after even a short time. We’ve literally depleted the nutrients in our brain. This leads to compromises in both cognitive and physical performance.”

14. Like fire, technology has changed the course of human history. However, fire can cook your food or burn your home down—it’s all in how you use it.

20. Brain pathways deteriorate from overuse of technology,

20.1. Substituting brain activity with technology leads to underuse of brain capabilities, and to atrophy.

20.2. Using a calculator instead of calculating things manually leads to inability to calculate later on.

20.3. Using outside sources to look out information instead of trying to remember it leads to memory atrophy.

20.3.1. Remembering things manually reinforces the pathways respinsible for that memory, thus making it stronger and easier to remember.

23. Substituting cognitive processes with outsource technologies leads to atrophy of the brain pathways.

23.1. Using internet to lookup info instead of remembering it leads to memory atrophy.

24. A brain pathway becomes stronger each time it is used.

24.1. A memory becomes stronger each time you remember it.

25. Pomodoro technique

25.1. We tend to remember the first and the last part of info of the learning session

25.2. 25 minute - learning sessions, after time ends all learned info is summarized and wrote down

26. The human brain has 2 states, in one it consumes information, and in the second it is processing, sorting and saving it. Only one can be active at the same time.

26.1. If you neglect the second, you will not be able to remember consumed information.

26.1.1. You need downtime, a state of boredom when you do nothing, so your brain can start the second process and remember things.

26.1.3. With downtime, the neurons made their way from the gateway of memory to the rest of the brain, where long-term memory is stored. The rats were able to record memories of their experiences, which is the basis for learning. (c) University of California, San Francisco

27. Don't talk about anything until it's done.

27.1. If you are doing something, than keep it low.

27.2. Don't ask anybody for their opinions, make it by your own judgement.

28. Human sorts and filters tons of info every second, there is a mechanism which decides what to ignore and what to attract attention to, It is called Reticular Activating System (RAS)

28.1. By asking questions we can invoke and lead this mechanism to pay attention where we need it.

35. Pleasure reinforces behaviour that led to it.

36. Eliminate sarcasm, be honest and polite.

37. Every part of the organism that needs more energy will basically limit the other part's energy consumption, primarily affecting the brain as it's consuming 40% of the body's energy.

37.1. Pleasure, digestion and traumas limits the brain's energy consumption

37.1.1. When a human is in pleasure, the brain lowers the energy consumption to save the energy, because it isn't needed as the main goal (nutrition, sex, etc.) has been achieved.

37.1.2. Intoxications, inlflamations and so on consume energy to be repaired.

37.1.3. Digestion consumes a lot of energy, overeating makes it impossible to think clearly

The bigger the environment - the easier to control, gradually the victim will start playing by the rules it's told to play by. The art is to feed pieces to the victim, and make him think that he took this pieces, cuz he's smarter, and you are dumber. He is doing that by reapeating 1 simple question: "what's in it for me?". Throw a bone to the dog, find their weakness, give the victim just a little bit of what they think they want, distract them by letting them be consumed by their consumption,

40.4.1.1.1. The less things you are controled by, the more things you are able to control yourself.

40.4.1.1.2. The older the trick and the bigger - the better. Based on 2 concepts: The victim thinks the trick can't be so old. And the victim thinks that it can't be so big.

46.1. Maybe it's determined by the size of the part of the brain that contains consciousness, or by the number of the neuron pathaways that connect from consciousness to intelligence, or by some hormone. Basically how much of a influence it has over your brain.

46.1.1. People who have a more influent or developed consciousness are not just more "intelligent", they can overcome their emotions and control brain activity by will better.

46.1.1.1. There comes the conection between high intelligence and depression, people are not bound by insticts anymore, without basic cravings - they don't have a reason to live, and don't see a reason in anything.

77. There are 2 states of brain work

77.1. first using default neuron pathaways ( free mind running )

77.1.1. Attention to everything but no big attention to anything

77.1.2. You are memorizing not when you are consuming the information, but when you are processing it.

77.2. second uses focus pathaways ( concentration )

77.2.1. Ingoring 99% of stimulus around you

77.2.2. Dophamine shuts down and blocks all the stimulus except the one you focus on, more dophamine - more concentration

77.3. If the brain lacks spended ime in either of those states, it will force the lacking one in, mixing them up, resulting in incapability to fully concetrate or relax.

77.3.1. Overstimulation lowers the leves of dophamine and leads to incapability to concentrate

77.3.1.1. The treatment for consuming too much information or other stimulants in the first state is to spend time in nature, in complete lack of any information

77.3.1.1.1. Don't reject mind wandering, accept it, its necesarry and as much important as focus, if you cannot focus you should go out and sort your ideas, mind wander.

77.3.1.2. It also leads to cravings for dophamine level enchancing substances, such as sugar, coffe, cigarettes and cocaine

77.3.1.2.1. The key to solving any addiction is spending time in the second state, and eliminationg other powerfull stimulants

77.3.2. Too much time in the first state makes the brain to forcibily induce the second state, which results in daytime SLEEPINESS after any STIMULUS, or pleasure, the phenomenon known as narcolepsy

77.4. Complete focus should be balanced with complete defocusation, the state when you pay attetion to everything but not paying big attention to anything

77.4.1. Don't focus on not being able to focus, accept distractions and focus on the task

77.4.1.1. When you have a popping idea while trying to focus, just accept it and focus on your task

77.4.1.1.1. If you instead concentrated on popping idea - you promote this behaviour and make yourself harder to concentrate in the future

77.4.1.2. If you don't feel like doing the task, don't do anything, stay in the second state until you will want to do the task

77.5. 2 States of eye work

77.5.1. Focused - when you concentrate and see only 1 thing

77.5.1.1. Attentional blinks - when you spot on of the 2 targets, you lose the ability to spot the second target for a moment. Bassically overconcentration on one thing. Dophamine overstimulation increases this effect and makes.

77.5.1.1.1. To reduce that effect - 17 minutes of meditation, it lowers the focus blinks and increases the capability for open monitoring

77.5.2. Open monitoring - when you can consciously maintain your gaze on a large view

77.5.2.1. It allows to percieve much more information in a single time, and better time awarness, eliminates attentional blinks

77.5.3. 2 separate neuron ways from the eye to the brain are responsible for those modes

77.6. Eliminating sugar, diary, gluten, processed and refined foods, sintetic additives and high inflamatory foods highly boosts brain work capacity and focus.

77.7. Reverbatory Activity - repeated impulses of the brain to do the same actions

77.7.1. Hyperactivity is a state when the brain send too much reverbatory signals

77.7.1.1. Can be countered by stepping your feet or wiggleing your knee, surgeons use that to focus and sto their hands from shaking

77.8. Time perception
