Design brief

1. Function

1.1. Help young people may face when it comes to using their phones excessively or inappropriately is the need for a phone locker or control mechanism to manage their phone usage and promote healthier habits

2. Durability

2.1. I need to make sure that the box can be lock and also is strong enough to not broke the product.

3. Safety

3.1. This product is give to the parents that have issue to their children that can’t controlling the phone using time. This product can’t be use under six age because the phone locker will made by wood.

4. Manufacture

4.1. I will try to make the phone that can be lock, hard enough for not easy to broke and try to make a place can be connect with charge line.

5. Environmental

5.1. When I making the product, I will to use the materials that can be recycle.

6. Material

6.1. For material we can use, oak wood, metal , walnut, pine, red wood, beech, maple, etc….

7. Social moral

7.1. I believe a good phone locker needs to have enough safety, the lock need to be sure that can lock and not easy to open, also people need to be can;t see inside the lock.

8. Human factor

8.1. I will find my user and extract from her daily life the problem, like do she are the problem that also ways lost key. Also I need to know that will she want to put this locker and sure that it can be fit.

9. Technology

9.1. Some things I may need to consider are the technologies used by users, such as: the products used by users for phones, iPads, laptops, etc. What needs to be done is to use the products she needs , the perfect addition is fit with the product .

10. Target market

10.1. Parent that have issue with controlling using phone time and also the student who can’t focus on their work because can’t controlling using phone time.

11. Cost

11.1. The phone locker was handcrafted by students and completed at school, the cost is the materials.

12. Aesthetic

12.1. My user wants to use a simple style, so that it can better fit her room. For example: for color, we can use a white color system, or use the color of the wood itself
