1. How to use the online catalog to locate books in the library.
2. Parents
2.1. Parents my check out three books under their child's name as long as their child in is kindergarten or first grade.
2.2. The books that are checked-out by a parent are must be returned the same day the child attends library. The parent can have the student drop the books off in the library.
3. Kindergaten
3.1. Students are responsible for all damages done to the library books. A leaking water bottle in backpack is the leading cause of death to the library books at John R. Hummel.
3.2. If a student forgets their book, they may not check-out.
3.3. Students can check-out one book from the beginning reader section of the library.
4. Second Grade through Fifth Grade
4.1. Students can check-out three books per visit to the Library. When visiting the library during scheduled classes, the students are required to check-out two books at their Accelerated Reader level and one book of their own choosing.
4.2. Students are responsible for all damages done to the library books. A leaking water bottle in backpack is the leading cause of death to the library books at John R. Hummel.
4.3. If a student has one over due library book that is less then two weeks over due, they can check-out one paperback.

5. First Grade
5.1. First Grade Students that read at Accelerated Reader levels 0.0 - 1.5 can check-out 1 book from the beginning readers section of the library.
5.2. First Grade Students that read at Accelerated Reader levels 1.6 and up can check-out two books from either the fiction or nonfiction wings of the library.

5.4. After a Library book is two weeks over due, a letter will be mail home and a message will be attached to Parent Link stating the cost of the book.
