4. 3. Structure

4.1. It is the parents responsibility to manage technology and its use to be geared towards learning as opposed to entertainment. Parents are faced with the issues that come along with what technology offers, such as instant gratification.

4.2. Why is it difficult for parents to manage technology? Why is it a problem?

4.2.1. Changes in times, technology that wasn't available yesterday, but is today.

4.2.2. Technology is forced because it is everywhere. Examples includes your home, schools, and even cars.

4.2.3. Kids are introduced to technology at an early age.

4.2.4. Parents force technology on their children, but do not express the proper use or need and do not enforce guidelines.

4.2.5. Technology is used for learning and entertainment. The separation between the two are not always clear.

4.2.6. Today's technology provides a quick response, therefore patience isn’t exercised in young folks. Instant gratification is expected even outside the use of technology.

4.2.7. Technology is advantageous. The tool isn't bad or good.

4.2.8. Children are faced with overstimulation due to technology.

4.2.9. Students are caught between two worlds, virtual and the real world.
