1.1. How to use context clues to find who the main characters are and who arent.
1.1.1. Activity: Students can make their own story and pick their main character and other characters so they know which ones are the main individuals in the story.

2. Settings
2.1. Students will know how to decide what the setting is in the story, they will use contect clues and the plot to determine the setting
2.1.1. Activity: Students will get into groups with their ownn individual stories previously made. Each one will share their short story with their team members and they will work together to figure out the setting in each story.

3. Major events
3.1. Students will know how to determine what the major event or main idea in a story is
3.1.1. Activity: Students will agree on a movie to watch as a class, during the movie the students will take notes about the "events" happening. After the movie we will have a class discussion and go over all notes so we as a class can determine what the major event was.

4.1. Students will know how to make decisions about a story and answer questions about the story when needed by using key details and/or context clues
4.1.1. Activity: The whole class will read a book together. When finished, we will talk about it as a class and questions will be asked. Students will use key details to answer all questions individually on paper then we will compare everyones answers to see what everyone came up with.
