1. Grade-Level RTI Teams

1.1. Each grade-level will have an RTI team comprised of members of each content area that will meet weekly to discuss attendance, behavior, and any other points of interest for students from that week. They will create plans to deal with any issues and implement these plans by meeting with teachers who have contact with each student in question during that week. They will then revisit these students during their next meeting. If they are struggling to implement effective strategies for a student, they will bring these issues up with the leadership team at their bi-weekly meeting.

2. Deans and Counselors

2.1. There will be one dean of students and one counselor per every two hundred students. They will be assigned (preferably) by grade level and will attend grade-level RTI meetings. They will be part of deciding on appropriate measures to curb behavior, attendance and other problems with individual students, creating plans, and communicating with teachers. They will have weekly meetings with the leadership teams to discuss overall issues with school culture.

3. Mental Health Services

3.1. Mental health services will be comprised of a social worker and psychologist, preferably at a ratio of one to every grade level offered at the school. They will be responsible for responding to suicide threats, counseling students and families, and providing any social and emotional support needed to help students be successful in school. The social workers will be tied in with the community and will be responsible for bringing resources to the school building such as mobile clinics and other health care services, food banks, and other services that can help our families support our students. They will be represented on the leadership team and will meet weekly with the leadership team to discuss any issues that may have arisen, trends in mental health in the school, and opportunities for the community.
