1. What are Minerals?

1.1. Every rock has minerals inside them. A crystal is the shape of the mineral. Minerals are easy to find and hard to find. Scientists try really hard to grow minerals. Scientists sometimes work alone and if people come to visit the museum they must stop and show them around.

2.1. A geologist is scientist who works with rocks. It can be hard work and very dangerous. It can be very dangerous if a geologist is looking for fossils or minerals on a high cliff.

3.1. It's true, gold is a mineral! Gold can be heated up and made it into any shape like a necklace or a solid gold bar. You can also send electricity and heat through gold really easily.

4. What is a Bismuth Crystal?

4.1. Bismuth crystals grow naturally but sometimes scientists grow them in Germany.

5. What are Fossils?

5.1. Fossils are the remains of very old plants and animals that lived 10,000 to 500,000,000 years ago. Their remains have been replaced by minerals and make a cast called a fossil.
