Water Cycle
by Deena Brown
1. Transpiration is evaporation of water from plant leaves.
2. Sun
3. Condensation is water vapor in the air gets cold and changes back into liquid, forming clouds
4. Precipitation occurs when so much water has condensed that air cannot hold it anymore. The clouds get heavy and water falls back to the earth in the form of rain, hail, sleet or snow.
5. Runoff is movement of water across the soil surface. It occurs when, rain, or snow melts adds water to a surface faster than it can enter the soil.
6. Infiltration is the process by which water on the ground surface enters the soil.
7. Shrub
8. Pitch Pine
9. Lake
10. Evaporation is when the sun heats up water in rivers or lakes or the ocean and turns into vapor or steam. The water vapor or steam leaves the river, lake or ocean.
