1. 8th Amendment

1.1. Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

1.2. Bail and fines for a crime must fit the nature of the crime.


1.4. The 8th amendment protects against physical abuse and other cruel punishments

2. 3rd Amendment

2.1. No soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.

2.2. Civilians cannot be forced to house a soldier during time of peace without consent of the homeowner.


2.4. Soldiers can, however, be quartered by law during time of war.

3. 4th Amendment

3.1. The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

3.2. Law enforcement officers cannot search a person or their belongings without "just cause", permission, or written documentation.


3.4. A law enforcement office must have proper documentation (i.e., a warrant) to conduct a search or take evidence.

4. 2nd Amendment

4.1. A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

4.2. Handguns may be kept on one's person so long as they have the substantial permit to do so.


4.4. Shotguns, rifle, and other higher caliber weapons may be owned if they are registered and used properly.
