1. SAMR

1.1. Transformation

1.1.1. Redefinition: Allows for new tasks that were previously not possible. Technology allows for collaboration between students and the goal of the project is reached with student directed questioning. There is as much as a full grade increase with redefinition.

1.1.2. Modification: Where technology provides a task redefinition, with students more engaged, peer editing, and easy editing of the project using technology. Modification can provide half of a grade improvement.

1.2. Enhancement

1.2.1. Augmentation: Where technology provides a functional benefit and improve student engagement without a measurable increase in grades.

1.2.2. Substitution: Where the technology only replaces pencil and paper with no functional change and no grade increase.

2. TPACK

2.1. Technological knowledge: Includes knowledge that you have about a certain technology including its function, how to use the technology, and how it applies to teaching.

2.1.1. Technological Pedagogical Knowledge: Is focused around whether the technology is suited to the lesson and the learners.

2.2. Pedagogical Knowledge: Includes how to teach specifically focused on how the lesson is arranged in relation to the students.

2.2.1. Technological Content Knowledge: The way that technology can assist the learning of content

2.2.1.1. Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge is the equal balance between PCK, TCK, TPK.

2.3. Content Knowledge: Is related to what the students already know about the content and any necessary scaffolding that the teacher must give to the students in order to facilitate learning.

2.3.1. Pedagogical Content Knowledge: Is involved in choosing the activities that will assist in learning a specific subject or content

3. Philosophy for Teachology

3.1. Comes from your beliefs about your current teaching practices

3.2. Includes your belief about how technology should be used effectively in your teaching practices

3.3. My philosophy of teachnology will continue to grow and change as I acquire more knowledge. Currently as I am not teaching yet, it includes using technology as a way to learn new things and document my learning. Documenting my learning is a reflective practice that allows me to see how far I have come and how far I have still to go to reach my goals.
