1. Philosophy of Teachology
1.1. How are teachers going to incorporate technology into their classrooms?
1.2. There are four basic principles when using teachnology.
1.2.1. Alignment
1.2.1.1. Technology should be used for a purpose.
1.2.1.2. Make sure the technology enhances your teaching skills and meets the student's needs.
1.2.2. Accessibility
1.2.2.1. Make sure the students have access to the technology you choose.
1.2.2.2. Make sure you have access to your own technology and that you know how to use it.
1.2.3. Assessment
1.2.3.1. Provide guidance to students when using media technologies.
1.2.3.2. Be clear about how you will grade online contributions and work if you are using a discussion forum.
1.2.4. Reinforcement
1.2.4.1. Technology should be used to reinforce and supplement lessons.
1.2.4.2. Should not be a repeat of exactly the same thing only in a different format.
2. 21st Century Learning
2.1. The foundational knowledge that students bring to the equation.
2.2. 21st Century Learners have an expectation of how things should work and they think everything should work immediately.
2.3. 3 main ideas
2.3.1. Foundational Knowledge
2.3.1.1. Content
2.3.1.2. Information Literacy
2.3.1.3. Cross-disciplinary Knowledge
2.3.2. Meta Knowledge
2.3.2.1. Problem Solving and Critical Thinking
2.3.2.2. Communication and Collaboration
2.3.2.3. Creativity
2.3.3. Humanistic Knowledge
2.3.3.1. Life and Job Skills
2.3.3.2. Cultural Competence
2.3.3.3. Ethical and Emotional Awareness
3. TPACK
3.1. There are three main domains of TPACK.
3.1.1. Technological Knowledge
3.1.1.1. Came into play in 2006.
3.1.1.2. How to install and use different software programs, operating systems, and computer hardware.
3.1.1.3. Being able to learn and adapt to new technologies.
3.1.2. Pedagogical Knowledge
3.1.2.1. Student thinking and learning.
3.1.2.2. Processes and practices of teaching and learning such as classroom management and lesson plan development.
3.1.2.3. Strategies for evaluating student understanding and how those students develop knowledge, skills, and mind habits.
3.1.3. Content Knowledge
3.1.3.1. Has existed for a long time.
3.1.3.2. Subject matter like central facts and concepts in a given field.
3.1.3.3. Nature of knowledge and inquiry in different fields.
3.1.3.4. How to use frameworks to organize and connect ideas.
3.2. Identifies the knowledge teachers need to effectively teach with technology.
3.3. Shows the different ways that each of the three domains are interconnected and that they don't have to be separate entities anymore.

4. SAMR
4.1. This model makes you look at how you are using technology and evaluate it.
4.1.1. Are you using it because it's cool?
4.2. Developed by Dr. Ruben Puentedura
4.3. Substitution Augmentation Modification Redefinition Model
4.3.1. Substitution
4.3.1.1. Eg. Reading a book on an iPad instead of using a paper copy.
4.3.2. Augmentation
4.3.2.1. Eg. Kids use a text-to-speech tool and a word processor to help develop their writing skills.
4.3.3. Modification
4.3.3.1. Eg. Writing that a student produces is posted on a blog to allow for that student to receive feedback immediately from more people that just his fellow classmates.
4.3.4. Redefinition
4.3.4.1. Eg. Rather than writing, students response to a reading by creating a video about their interpretation.
