1.1. In order to use technology, there has to be an awareness of the components of what makes it work.

1.2. Input and output devices give ease of access in operating various programs and enhance the way work is done.

2. Cons

2.1. It can become costly to replace/repair defective devices.

2.2. Learning how to use the devices can be frustrating and time consuming.

2.3. Device program software have to be compatible with the computer components otherwise it will be a waste of time and money.

4. Input Device: Keyboard

4.1. It is used to enter data.

4.2. It is formatted like a typewriter with additional command keys for easy access.

4.3. With the rise of technology, it is becoming a requirement for students to learn keyboarding basics.

5. Input Device: Scanner

5.1. Very convenient when a document needs to be uploaded versus typed. Less time consuming.

5.1.1. If a document/image is a low resolution, it can alter the visibility.

5.1.2. The scanner software can be incompatible with the computer systems or difficult to use.

5.1.3. Not all scanners can scan all image sizes correctly.

5.2. It can be attached to a printer/fax or is a single device.

5.3. It is used to input documents and images within a computer's memory.

6. Output Device: Speakers

6.1. It is used to enhance audio sounds and effects.

6.2. Speakers come in all shapes and it can affect the space around the computer/computers if they are large in size.

7. Output Device: Monitor

7.1. It is used to display information.

7.2. Monitors vary in sizes and resolutions. Various programs and software can display differently depending upon the setting of the monitor.

7.2.1. Are there adjustment buttons to enhance display?

7.2.2. Is the resolution clear?

7.2.3. Is the monitor size adjustable for viewing?
