1. Pygmalion Effect- Basically states that the student performs how the foresee them too. IF they feel the student will be successful they are and if they feel they will fail they do.

2. Hidden Curriculum - is the "outside curriculum" that the students learn from day to day activities.

3. Ecological Environment - Environment based on identity.

4. Diversity - is when students have multiple "groups" in which they could be paired. Ex. Race, gender etc.

5. Sleeper Effect - When a student has been successful in pre-k or a head start program and then begins to lack behind their peers.

6. Community Involvement (lack of) - When a community isn't involved in the school's successes and failures then their is more likely to be more failures.

7. Impact of Legislation - made Federal laws to ensure all students receive an education.

8. Cultural Deficit - poor and minority students are considered substandard in their socialization, practices, behaviors, language, and orientation toward school achievement (Convertino, Levinson, & Gonzalez, 2013).

9. Achievement Gap - a lacking in education based on race.

10. Heterogeneous Groups - diverse groups students are placed in.

11. Parent Involvement (lack of) - parents lack being involved with helping their students for numerous reasons.
