Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product? by Mind Map: Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

1. Contents Page

2. My contents page also differed from my preliminary task because in the preliminary task, the contents page was a bright distracting blue and there were three small pictures on it and a small amount of writing- it looked really bare. In the final magazine, the contents page kept in with the theme of the front cover and the space was used more so that it looked fuller. I didn’t do a DPS for my preliminary task, however I knew how to make it match with both my contents page and front cover, despite not having done one before.

3. Front Cover

4. Cover-lines

4.1. Another way is the use of cover lines, and the masthead which was far too big and didn’t match with the font and colours of the cover lines. Also, the cover lines in my preliminary magazine were boring and would not catch the reader’s attention if it were a real magazine. In my final media product, I ensured that the colours were ones that matched so that it wouldn’t clash and be distracting.
