1. Plumber Path
1.1. Take Classes such as:Beginning Welding and Foundations of Manufacturing Technology
1.1.1. Finish Highschool
1.1.1.1. Learn on the Job in an apprenticeship
1.1.1.1.1. This apprenticeship usually takes 4-5 years and each year they need 1700-2000 hours of on the job training and 246 hours of related technical education
1.1.1.1.2. To become an apprentice you must be 18 years old and have a high school deploma
1.1.1.2. Go to a trade school or technical school
1.1.1.2.1. You need to have a licence to be a plumber unless you live in a certain state
2. Mechanics Path
2.1. Take high school classes such as computers auto repair electronics math english
2.1.1. Get your high school diploma
2.1.1.1. Complete vocation or other post-secondary school
2.1.1.1.1. Get Training while on the Job
2.1.1.2. High School Diploma is the minimum requirement to be a mechanic
2.1.1.3. Some mechanics get their associates degree
