3.1. achievement: something that a person, company, etc. has done or finished successfully

3.2. ambitious: having a strong wish to be successful

3.3. esteem: respect for or a good opinion of someone

3.4. fear: an unpleasant emotion or thought that you have when you are frightened or worried by something dangerous, painful, or bad that is happening or might happen

5.2. Apprentice: meone who has agreed to work for a skilled person for a particular period of time and often for low payment, in order to learn that person's skills

5.3. Consumer: a person who buys goods or services for their own use

5.4. Discrimination: treating a person or particular group of people differently, especially in a worse way from the way in which you treat other people, because of their skin colour, sex, sexuality, etc

5.5. Equity: the value of a property after you have paid any mortgage or other charges relating to it

5.6. Gender: the physical and/or social condition of being male or female

5.7. Prejudice: the physical and/or social condition of being male or female

5.8. Sacked: to remove someone from a job, usually because they have done something wrong or badly, or sometimes as a way of saving the cost of employing them

5.9. Ratio:the relationship between two groups or amounts, which expresses how much bigger one is than the other

5.10. Sexist: Sexist jokes or remarks suggest that women are less able than men or refer to women's bodies, behaviour, or feelings in a negative way

10.1. analyzing:to study or examine something in detail, in order to discover more about it

10.2. crisis:a situation that is extremely difficult or dangerous, when there are many problems

10.3. directors:a report made available with a company’s accounts each year, giving the directors’ names, the success of business that year, and what amount of profits is to be paid to shareholders

10.4. distributors:a person or company that buys products from a manufacturer and sells them for a profit to other businesses, stores, or customers, often by transporting the goods to different places

10.5. innovations:the development of new products, designs, or ideas

10.6. modify:to slightly change something such as a plan, method, or law, usually to improve it or make it more acceptable

10.7. performance:how successful an investment, company, etc. is and how much profit it makes

10.9. subordinates:a person who has a less important position than you in a company or an organization

10.10. CEO: the main person responsible for managing a company, who is sometimes also the company's president or chairman of the board

11.1. autonomous: independent and having the power to make decisions for yourself

11.2. conflicts: a serious disagreement between people, organizations, or countries with opposing opinions

11.3. downsizing: to make a company or organization smaller by reducing the number of people working for it

11.4. independence: freedom to make laws or decisions without being governed or controlled by another country, organization, etc.:

11.5. matrix management: a group of numbers or other things arranged in a rectangle that can be used to solve a problem or measure something

11.6. merger: a situation when two or more companies, organizations, departments, etc. join together

11.7. permission: the act of allowing something to happen, or allowing someone to do something

11.8. superior: better in quality than other things of a similar type

11.9. takeover: the act of taking control of a company by buying enough of its shares to do this

11.10. recession: a period, usually at least six months, of low economic activity, when investments lose value, businesses fail, and unemployment rises

12.1. Characteristics: a typical or noticeable quality of someone or something.

12.3. Diversity: the fact of many different types of things or people being included in something

12.4. Foreign market: a financial market in which foreign currencies are bought and sold

12.5. Globalization: the way in which economies have been developing to operate together as one system

12.6. Individualist:someone who is different or original

12.7. Localization: the process of organizing a business or industry so that its main activities happen in local areas rather than nationally or internationally

12.8. Multinational: a very large company that has offices, stores, etc. in many different countries but that is controlled from the country where it was started. A company with a quarter or more of its sales in other countries is considered to be a multinational

12.10. Stereotype: a fixed idea that people have about what someone or something is like, especially an idea that is wrong
