1. On April 4, 1968, was assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee.
2. He graduated at the age of fiteen from a segregated public school in Georgia.
3. He was a prominent leader in the African-American civil rights movement.
4. By the time of his death in 1968, he had refocused his efforts on ending poverty and opposing the Vietnam War, both from a religious perspective.
5. He was born in Atlanta,Georgia. And died in Memphis, Tennessee.

7. Marthin Luther King became the yougest person to receive the Noble Peace Prize for his end to racial discrimination.
8. He fought for equal rights among people.
9. In 1957 he was elected president of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, an organization formed to provide new leadership for the now burgeoning civil rights movement
