3. Job Readiness

3.1. Although I'd like it to be different, many see education as a way to get students ready for jobs. Employers want people who can read. Won't hire otherwise

3.2. If we aren't getting them ready for a job, it's for college

3.2.1. Either way, in terms of reading, almost 1/3 of students aren't at grade level, or college ready, upon graduation (RN)

3.2.1.1. We need to build vocab, as well as phonics and structural analysis in reading skills. (Support)

3.2.1.1.1. This has to be interdisciplinary. Can't just rely on Language Arts to do it. If we want a change, all teachers needs to get on board. Students need all the support they can get.
