Photosynthesis & Respiration by Mind Map: Photosynthesis & Respiration

1. Respiration

1.1. Aerobic

1.1.1. When oxygen is present, it goes through Glycolysis, then the Krebs Cycle, and finnaly, the Electronic Transport Train

1.2. Anaerobic

1.2.1. When oxygen is not present, it goes through Glycolysis, and ends there.

2. Mitochondria

3. Why is this important?

4. Photosynthesis is the key to all living things on earth. The process recycles and reuses materials like CO2 and H20 but us humans are destroying forrests making the process less effective. Nothing else reuses CO2 and we would just have a big planet with useless gasses to animals. Photosynthesis is a complicated process but it goes a little something like this. For light dependent resources, we need co2 and Light and Water. It enters the thylakoid and enters the photosystem 1. Then the Hydrogen pushes the electrons through the membrane and eventually pushes it into the photosystem 2. It enters the thylakoid and pushes out the Hydrogen. That makes ATP. The final product of the electrons is NADPH. The Light independent part of the process makes the NADPH and the ATP move back inside the thykaloid and stabalize the Carbons inside to make them more stable and make it into sugar once it is outside of the membrane. Nothing would be able to live because there would be no oxygen left due to the process of respiration. All the animals would intake the oxygon and if photosynthesis didnt exist there would be too much CO2 and not enough oxygen causing eventually killing every organism that lives off of Oxygen. So photosynthesis is one of the most important cycles on earth because it helps everything keep living. Humans need to pay more attention to this process because we are taking down more trees then we need and we cant replace as many as we are taking away. A lot of people are not aware of this, and we could suffer greatly in the future if we do not do anything about it. That is why photosynthesis is so important, because it is essential for life, and some things that do not depend on oxygon, depend on creatures that do need oxygen.

5. Photosynthesis

5.1. Light Dependent

5.1.1. Water is broken apart by the energy being absorbed by the light. Then the water is made into oxygen.

5.2. Light Independent

5.2.1. The carbon dioxide goes into the plant, and does 6 cycle of the calvin process. After that, the plant has successfully made Glucose.

5.3. Thylakoid

5.4. Chloroplast
