Define the problem: Your friend asks you if they can copy off of you during a test. by Mind Map: Define the problem: Your friend asks you if they can copy off of you during a test.

1. Explore the Alternatives: Say yes and let them cheat off you. Say no and tell them that you feel uncomfortable doing that.

1.1. Consider the Consequences: By saying yes... I am not letting them learn the information from the test. Depending on the kind of person my friend is I am securing our friendship and creating a sense of trust. I am also increasing risks of myself getting into trouble. By saying no... I am taking less risk in getting myself in trouble. Depending on the kind of person my friend is, I may lose a friendship or a piece of trust between the two of us.

1.1.1. Identify Your Values: I don't feel comfortable with the whole cheating situation. Cheating goes against my own personal values and feels incorrect and unjust. I want to not feel peer pressured into helping someone else who cheats and I also don't want to surround myself with those who have moral values that strongly go against my own.

1.1.1.1. Decide and Act: I think the decision that is best for me is to tell my friend what I honestly feel about the situation but also in a way that does not offend them. I will try to dissuade the other person from cheating but generally try not to get too involved. If the person continues to do things that strongly go against my own personal morals, I need to make sure that when I'm around them I am not influenced by their actions and that they don't change my personal morals.

1.1.1.1.1. Evaluate the Results: Although we used to be friends, because of their recent actions, I have realised that there moral principles just go too strongly against what I believe is right. Even though they still cheat, at least I am not helping them and I voiced my opinion on the subject. I wouldn't change my decision even if I could go back in time. I have learned that I have a really hard time working with those that do not have good moral principles.
