1. Materials Needed

1.1. Digital Camera

1.2. iMovie

1.3. Computer

1.4. Paper and pencil for storyboarding

1.5. Some sort of microphone for audio if needed

1.6. Partners (as this will be a group project, consisting of two or three students)

1.7. Any materials chosen to make the movie (ex. legos, pen and paper, clay, etc)

2. music/audio needed for each segment

2.1. Since this video is a silent one, I will be including background music throughout all the frames (this music will be selected from the options on imovie)

2.2. I will also include some sound effects, such as a glittery noise every time a wish is granted, a whirring noise when the genie appears, and a harsh noise when the troll figure appears

3. Identified segments

3.1. The first segment will consist of a stick figure walking along a path, with the scenery changing behind the stick figure.

3.2. The second segment will consist of the stick figure coming across a lamp and rubbing it

3.3. The third segment will consist of the genie coming out of the lamp and instructing the stick figure that they have three wishes

3.4. The forth segment will consist of the stick man making his first wish (to have a lot of money) and receiving a bag of cash.

3.5. The fifth segment will consist of the stick man making his second wish (to have a beautiful stick girlfriend) and a stick girl showing up beside the stick man (right in the spot where the bag of cash was, so that she is now holding the bag)

3.6. The sixth segment will consist of the stick man making his final wish (to become a better drawing than just a stick figure)

3.7. The seventh segment will consist of the stick man transforming into a well developed drawing of an ugly troll-like creature

3.8. The eighth and final segment will consist of the stick girlfriend screaming and running away (still carrying the bag of cash). The genie will then react by explaining how you need to be careful about what you wish for

4. Text needed in each segment

4.1. Right before the stick man is shown walking down a path, there will be a title screen showing the words "Be Careful What You Wish For"

4.2. Right when the stick figure reaches the lamp, a text screen will be shown saying "Oh My! What is this?"

4.3. Once the genie emerges, a text screen will show up saying "I am the great genie Laverne. You may make three wishes".

4.4. After showing an image of the stick figure, a test screen with appear saying "Is this a joke? Well, I would like to quit my job, so I wish first for a bag full of money!"

4.5. After the money appears and the stick man makes a reaction to it, another text screen will show "It worked! I am so lonely, I wish for a beautiful girlfriend!"

4.6. After a stick girl appears and the stick man reacts to it, another text screen appears saying "What luck! For my last wish, I want to become a better drawing than a simple stick figure!"

4.7. There is no text in this segment.

4.8. After the stick girl is shown reacting to the troll-drawing, a text screen saying "EEEEK!!!" will be shown. Then, after the stick girl runs away, the genie will be shown reacting slightly, and another text screen will pop up saying "May this be a lesson to you to be careful and cautios about what you wish for!"

5. How to address making it for my website

5.1. Since I cannot actually have a student complete the assignment, I will create an example video to place on my website.

5.2. For my example, I will create a video using drawing as a medium where a stick figure is goes for a walk, meets a genie, and is granted three wishes

6. This project will be to teach my students about using multimedia as art. They will be assigned to create a stop-motion video out of photographs, drawings, or objects such as legos. The project would be given to a class of fifth graders.
