1. Surface Water
1.1. Only 3% of the water on Earth is freshwater and 2% of the fresh water is inaccessible because it is frozen in glaceirs. That leaves 1% fresh water that we can use.
1.2. 70% of Earths surface is made up of water.
2. Usage Breakdown
2.1. 49% of our fresh water is used for thermal electric power production
2.2. 31% of our freshwater supply is used agriculturaly
2.3. 11% is used publicly
2.4. 4% is used Industrially
2.5. 1% is used domestically
3. Water Cycle
3.1. Radiation Heats up water and causes evaporation or transpiration in plants.
3.2. Precipitation occurs and run off goes back in to a body of water or the water is absorbed into the ground and returned to a body of water.
3.3. The evaporation and transpiration condenses in clouds or just stays in the atmosphere.
4. Satellite Data
4.1. Observes clouds height and measures moisture levels.
4.2. Accurately measures atmospheric water vapor.
