Policies for a Kennel

1. Ensure that the collar / harness is fitted correctly before taking a dog out
2. Make sure that when taking a dog out it's kennel it is written on the board
3. Make sure that all dog mess is picked up and disposed of
4. Only walk one dog at a time
5. Make sure radios are on from arrival to departure
6. All staff to arrive promptly for the beginning of work each day
7. When medication is given to a dog that it is written on the dogs record
8. Ensure that the correct PPE is worn at all times
9. Ensure that all accidents and incidents are recorded
10. Ensure that the correct food in the correct quantity is given to each dog
11. Ensure that cleaning is carried out to a high standard
12. Use the correct dilution rates for cleaning products
13. Ensure that dogs are walked on the approved walks
14. Make sure all doors are securely shut when leaving the kennel
