2. Issue & Problem

2.1. This year, nearly 9 million children younger than five years old will die, more than half from hunger causes.

2.2. Chronic hunger affects more than 925 million people in the world and is a deadly condition.

2.3. Pregnant women who breastfeed their kids are the most at risk of undernourishment, or starvation.

2.4. A lack of food can stunt growth, slow thinking, take up energy, slow down development and contribute to mental retardation.

3.1. Chronic hunger affects over 925 million people in the world and is very deadly.

3.2. 15.7 million of the world's hungry live in developed countries. The rest live in developing nations, where more poverty exist.

4. A Solution

4.1. Make Cash Donations

4.1.1. A price has been set and estimated by the United Nations to solve this crisis. $30 billion a year.

4.1.2. That may seem like a lot, but the US defense budget in 2012 was $737 billion a year. Now does $30 billion seem more attainable?

4.2. Make Food Donations

4.2.1. Many people in the US will send food down to countries in need. If we could increase the amount of people that do this, there could definitely be a difference made.

5. How Does This Address the Need?

5.1. If kids had more food to eat, it would lessen the amount of deaths and starving people in the world.
