3.1. Teens need to be resilient when they fail a test in school or when they get into trouble, they must take responsibility for there actions and maybe lean on a friend to help them "push through"

3.2. Teens also need resilience if their parents go through a divorce or they maybe have to move unexpectedly. They need people the can talk to and they always need to look at the bright side.

4. Situation A- "Tom gets his final Geography test back and the score caused him to fail the class for the trimester"

4.1. If Tom was resilient he would think of what he could do to earn the credit back, like doing night school or switching one of his electives to retake the class.

4.2. If Tom was not resilient he would think negatively and say he is not going to graduate on time now, or say he is going to drop out of school because of it.

5. 10 tips to build resilience.

5.1. 1. Make Connections-Good relationships with close family members, friends, or others are important.

5.2. 2. Accept that change is a part of life-Accepting circumstances that cannot be changed can help you focus on circumstances that you can alter.

5.3. 3.Move toward your goals-Instead of focusing on tasks that seem unachievable, ask yourself, “What’s one thing I know I can accomplish today that helps me move in the direction I want to go?”

5.4. 4.Look for opportunities for self-discovery-Many people who have experienced tragedies and hardship have reported better relationships, greater sense of strength even while feeling vulnerable, increased sense of self-worth, a more developed spirituality, and heightened appreciation for life.

5.5. 5.Take decisive actions-Act on adverse situations as much as you can. Take decisive actions, rather than detaching completely from problems and stresses and wishing they would just go away.

5.6. 6.Maintain a positive outlook- Try visualizing what you want, rather than worrying about what you fear.

5.7. 7.Keep things in perspective-Avoid blowing the event out of proportion.

5.8. 8.Take care of yourself-Pay attention to your own needs and feelings.

5.9. 9.Nurture a positive view of yourself-Developing confidence in your ability to solve problems and trusting your instincts helps build resilience.

5.10. 10.Have a positive outlook on life-Think of the positives and the things that are going good for you instead of focusing on the bad things.
