Our Opening Sequence

1. Location

1.1. Underground station will be good for attracting our audience as it is a common place they would be when going out with friends et. so they would be able to elate.

1.2. An empty park will also be good when attracting our audience as they will be able to relate as it will be somewhere they hang out with friends but it can also remind them of their childhood which will build up even more suspense.

1.3. A dark ally as it will hide stuff from the audience which will make them more intrigued and want to watch more of the film.

2. Storyline

2.1. We are involving a catfish in our opening sequence. This is good for attracting our younger audience as it ties in with social networking as well as a popular TV show that is on at the moment all about catfishing. This will mean they can relate and feel more engaged.

2.2. We are including a failing relationship which is something many teenagers will be able to relate to.

2.3. A murder will happen which is something a lot of people want to see in a thriller film. This will be able to tie the audience in/

3. Characters

3.1. We have chosen to have younger characters our target audience will be able to relate

3.2. Our characters will be around 16-18 years old as this is our main target audience ages

3.3. We will have a male and female playing the two lead roles as this will be able to attract a larger audience to our film

4. Props

4.1. Props such as mobile phones and laptops will be included in our opening sequence as these are common items of technology that are used by many in this day.

4.2. We will also be using a child's toy at one point which will be broken. This not only builds tension but reminds the audience of their childhood which will get them thinking and engaged.

4.3. A weapon which is a common source of iconography in a thriller film. It will be used for a murder but seen before so the audience will feel suspense and start guessing as to what will happen next.
