How do we start and sustain these discussions?

1. Sufficient anti-oppression training for teachers
2. Keeping books with diverse characters
3. Using books/resources that explicitly and implicitly talk about race
4. Create units about race itself in the History and Citizenship program
5. Using sources written by diverse authors in the classroom
6. Bringing in admirable community members who are people of colour to share their culture and/or experiences
7. Give students opportunities to share personal experiences that deal with race
8. Prioritize exploring narratives of history that are not the dominant ones
