1. The New Classroom

1.1. Curriculum

1.1.1. Catelog

1.1.1.1. One idea a group of educators had during a Google Summit this past summer, was to have a SDL (self directed learning) style of curriculum where students could branch out and choose which assignment they wanted to do and present the information in a vehicle of their choosing.

1.1.3. I would like to be able to incorporate the things we learn in my class and use them in other core subjects. I have a few projects that are cross curricular, but would like to have more.

1.1.4. Genius Hour- I would like to expand on an experimental project my current class is participating in this semester. Students will be able to spend 20% of their time to learn something they want to learn and present the information to a series of groups.

1.2. Layout

1.2.1. I would like to have a room with table that would fit 4-5 students at and power outlets for them to charge their devices. I would also like an open type area where discussion and projects can take place. Each student will be able to have a laptop to create and design their education.
