2. Echo's actions

2.1. Since Echo is a chatterbox, she speaks to Hera whilst Zeus, Hera's husband, gallivants around with other nymphs

2.1.1. Causes Hera to believe that Echo is doing a favor for Zeus by distracting her

2.1.1.1. Is no longer able to speak unless she is repeating another's shouted words

2.1.1.1.1. Devastated by the denial from Narcissus, Echo stays in glens by herself until everything but her voice is no more

3. Hera's actions

3.1. Sees Zeus doing something she didn't like and doesn't dare challenge Zeus

3.1.1. Hera instead punishes the mountain nymph Echo by taking her voice, which is her most beloved posession

4. Narcissus' actions

4.1. Denied all attempts at romance from everyone who tried

4.1.1. Denies Echo when she makes her attempt at romance with Narcissus

5. Echo the nymph is no more

5.1. Since only Echo's voice remains, all she is left to do is repeat a person's shouted words, thus creating the echo
