POST U.S CIVIL WAR by Mind Map: POST U.S CIVIL WAR

1. On 1863, freed African Americans in rebel states, the thirteenth amendment emancipated all U.S wherever they were.

2. During the Reconstruction 1866 to 1877 blacks were finally free but the south saw reconstruction as humiliating, because they were forced to free the African Americans and they did not wanted equality at all because they believed they should stay as slaves and should not be free. They were suppose to be servants. I do not like the way White people thought about African Americans.

3. Slaves did not know how to be free, Now that they were free they did not know where to go, they felt happy they were free but unsafe since white people still treated them very bad and were very racist calling them Negros.

5.4. After the War, U.S entered man treaties and obtain many respect from other countries. U.S helped a lot because they wanted other countries to also get their independence.

5.5. I cannot compare this to the Mexican war because Mexico was forced to give their land to the United States. The U.S did not care about the Mexicans and their families. They either turn into Second citizens or go back to Mexico.
