Is it fair to blame the media for the fact that bad news out weighs good news or are there other factors at play?

1.1. Good news stories get put on the back burner and are used as back up if no bad stories come through
2. Minimizing good news
2.1. Do we have a negative/judgmental view towards good news?
3. Does the bad news get over exaggerated?
3.1. Is it really as bad as they are making it out to be? Do the facts add up, is it logical?
4. Yes, they are to blame for the obsession with bad news.
5. "There mustn't be too much going on in this world if they have to show this" mentality towards good news
5.1. We have become reliant on only watching bad news
6. Is it a form of terrorism that makes people scared to not know what negative news is circulating?

11.1. Is the income based on the number of bad news stories?
12. Does the media intend it to be negative or are we just looking at it negatively?
12.1. Do we, as viewers, choose to only see the negative things?

13.1. e.g. Is a campaign for fundraising for a third world country seen as good or bad?
14. Has there been an increase in bad things or is it just the fact that news is more accessible with the growing use of technology?
14.1. Is media making bad news spread like a virus?
15. Does bad news really outweigh good news or does it just overpower it?
15.1. What scale do we use to grade how relevant a piece of news it?
16. Who is the accuser?
16.1. Is it another form of media that is blaming the media? Are we really just falling into the trap of viewing media about the over viewing of media?
17. We are not viewing it because it is forced upon us, but rather because we want to know.
