Govert Schilling

Govert Schilling is wetenschapsjournalist en publicist. Hij schrijft over sterrenkunde en ruimteonderzoek voor kranten en tijdschriften in binnen- en buitenland. Daarnaast geeft hij regelmatig op radio en tv toelichting op actuele ontwikkelingen in de sterrenkunde. Hij publiceerde ruim vijftig boeken over uiteenlopende sterrenkundige onderwerpen, waaronder "Deep Space" en "Handboek sterrenkunde". In 2007 werd planetoïde (10986) Govert naar hem genoemd door de Internationale Astronomische Unie. Op de MPI NL conferentie verzorgt Govert Schilling een keynote-presentatie over het universum en over de bijzondere plaats van aarde en mens in ruimte en tijd.
