Delusive Distribution by Mind Map: Delusive Distribution

1. The Distributor

2. In early March, when the public are building up to coming back to the cinemas after the 'Dead Period', Advertising for Delusive will begin though online social media because this is the best way to reach our target audience! Trailers will be released onto YouTube and pages will be created on twitter and Facebook. Our Distributors will also more than likely be able to get interviews on popular TV shows that our target audience will watch, like Celebrity Juice.

3. The film will be released into cinemas in the mid-end of the month. It will be released then because more people go to the cinema at this time of the year. The film will be rated a 15 (more about that in the next few posts). Delusive will more than likely be given a wide release because it should attract so many people. The advertising campaigns will continue whilst the film runs for about a month in cinemas.

4. The film will end in cinemas at around the middle of April. At this point the films marketing and advertising campaigns will end for a few months.

5. In around August, advertising will start again in the same way as before, however instead of advertising the Cinema release of Delusive, they will advertise the DVD release of Delusive. Merchandise is sometimes released at this point, like action figures when a new children's film comes out. Although this is a popular technique and can work well, its unlikely that our target audience would buy any of this merchandise so its not a technique that will be used.

6. The film will then be retail distributed to DVD stores but also to supermarkets because more people go to supermarkets than they do to DVD shops. So it will be available for home exhibition. The trailers and advertising will continue online for around a month. By this point the DVD will have reached its peak on market.
