2. Ninja Words is an online dictionary that is smart, accurate, and SUPER fast. Students could use Ninja Words when defining vocabulary words.

3. Cobo Cards enable students to create flash cards online. There are over 3,000 flash cards provided on various topics already. The cards can be saved to study online or printed for a hard copy. Groups can be formed to study a set of flash cards together.

4. Wordnik shows multiple meanings of words, gives examples, related words, images and audio pronunciations. Students can mark their favorites for future referencing. The site provides a word of the day as well. Students can create a profile to keep track of lists which are used to categorize words in ways unique to each student.

5. Visuwords is an online graphical dictionary that shows the word meanings and its associations with other words and concepts. This is a great tool for students to use to develop their vocabulary by making connections between prior known concepts and new vocabulary words

6. Scribble Maps provides students and teachers with an interactive map. The maps can be drawn on to make them unique to any user's wish. The maps can then be printed or downloaded for other uses. This is a great tool to teach geography, history, or current events

7. Gliffy is an online tool used to create various diagrams, flow charts, and Venn Diagrams. The diagrams and charts can be shared and edited by others in real time. This is great for brainstorming and collaborating on projects. Teachers and administrators can create graphic organizers to use as a visual tool for presentations.

8. Voicethread allows students and teachers to have online discussions about various topics, pictures, videos, etc. Teachers can use this to encourage class discussions. Students can upload material to receive feedback from fellow classmates as well.

11. Prezi is a presentation software used to present ideas on a virtual canvas. Multiple users can have access to edit the same presentation. Students can collaborate on class projects easily.

12. Wiki Spaces provide a classroom workspace where students can communicate and collaborate by editing the same wiki page. The page is publicly visible so multiple users can come together for projects and feed off of one another.

13. Protagonize is a creative writing community where many authors contribute to a story. Students can come together to create a growing creative writing piece as a class project.

14. Animoto provides a way for teachers and students to create videos. This is a creative alternative way to view and listen to slideshows. This is a great presentation software for students and teachers. Schools can also use it to promote school events to the public.

15. Edmodo is known as the "Facebook for School." Students are allowed to communicate with their teacher regarding assignments that are posted. Students can post their work to the page as well. Teachers can also communicate to the parents via Edmodo.
