Digital tools and effective strategies for engaging the adult learner by Mind Map: Digital tools and effective strategies for engaging the adult learner

1. How do we keep adults engaged and interested in learning thru the use of online learning?

1.1. Google

1.2. Youtube

1.3. Media programs such as power point, Microsoft word, and excel

1.4. Social Media

2. Conclusion With everything I have researched and from personal experience. Our society has transitioned into a more comfortable role of online learning. The abilities and tools that instructors have to mentor and teach the online student are almost unlimited. It is unfortunate that we as a society have become a microwave society. As in we want everything instantaneous! I feel, without the use of online tools. Today’s learner will have huge issues in researching and retaining the knowledge being passed to them.

3. Having the use of multiple devices to accomplish your assignments

3.1. Sitting at your computer listening to a block of instructions while you have another media device, such as a tablet open to the source material

3.2. Being able to video conference with a peer from across the globe

3.3. Building a presentation for an online learning course!

4. Building Confidence

4.1. Allowing students to be at home helps them step up and show more interest in group sessions.

4.2. Gives more opportunity for the learner to express ideas that otherwise might never have been spoken.

4.3. Boosts and empowers learners to seek answers that they might not ask in a normal classroom.

5. Having a Library at the click of a button.

5.1. With online learning you can have all your text books downloaded onto any drive you want.

5.2. Saving on time to research a project by never leaving the house.
