2.2.1. full of insighs into Brazilian racial dynamics but it also had significant limitations. It was a tendency to reduce race to class, depriving racial dynamics of their own autonomous signifiance.

3. Blacks in Mexico

3.2. Colombia has one of the largest black populations in Latin America. The new constitution contained clauses recognizing the "multiethnic and pluricultrual" character of the nation.
