Computer Hardware by Mind Map: Computer Hardware

1. Input Devices

1.1. Any device or computer component that allows users to enter data and commands into the computer.

1.2. The keyboard and mouse are common output devices in the classroom.

1.3. Challenges of the input devices would be technical literacy with the keyboard and mouse. Also if there were any disabilities in the classroom that would prevent the ease of use of these devices. Benefits of input devices make it possible for users to operate the computer and navigate and interact with computer programs and software. This enhances and creates success with learning.

2. Output devices

2.1. Output devices include any hardware components that move information (data that have been processed) out of the computer to make it accessible to you (Lever-Duffy 94). This could include being able to see the information or hear the information in a variety of ways.

2.2. The computer monitor and printer are common output devices found in the classroom.

2.3. Challenges of output devices would be technical literacy of the devices for teachers and students, as well as if there were any disabilities to prevent viewing of the information. Output devices make delivering information to the learner possible, which creates learning.
