1. Match between system and the real world

1.1. Form to fill in personal information during account registration matches the real world.

1.2. In the accounts page, the clickable words starts with the word "My" instead of system oriented languages. Refer to Figure 2.1

1.3. The "FAQS" acronym does not match the real world. It can be changed to "How can we help you?" for it to be clearer to users.

2. Consistency and standards

2.1. Register and Log In button is located at the top right, where most users would expect it to be.

2.2. The website company logo, MSY is different from the homepage and other pages. For example, the colour and design. Refer to Figure 2.2

2.3. When mouse is hovered over the "Home" button, it drops down a list of categories. Not consistent as "Categories" is shown at the side of the website but "Home" also shows the categories.

2.4. Both "Home" and "Homepage" button directs to the same page but is named differently.

3. Error prevention

3.1. Input box is highlighted in blue when clicked. Error of typing only to realize that nothing has been inputted because the user forgot to click the input box is prevented. Refer to Figure 1.1

3.2. No confirmation of password again. User only types in password once. Refer to Figure 1.1

3.3. No confirmation of the user's selection. For example, when "Register" button is clicked after filling personal information.

4. Flexibility and efficiency of use

4.1. No flexibility and efficiency of use.

5. Help users recognize, diagnose, and recover from errors

5.1. Provides immediate feedback with specific instructions/reasons when input is invalid. Refer to Figure 1.2

5.2. Feedback when input is invalid only tells the user what is invalid, does not show where the input is invalid so that user can know where they have to change their mistake. Refer to Figure 1.2

6. Visibility of system status

6.1. Feedback message "Your account has been created", is displayed right after user has submitted the registry information.

7. User control and freedom

7.1. "Back to account" and "Home" button is available for users if they select an option from the "My Account" list and wish to undo their selection.

7.2. "Home" button is always located at the top left corner of the screen which serves as a 'redo' option for the user.

7.3. "Back to account" button is not available if user is adding his address information for the first time.

8. Recognition rather than recall

8.1. Each clickable word has an image to accompany it in the "My Account" page. For example, an icon of a heart shape is shown beside "My favorite products". Refer to Figure 2.1

9. Aesthetic and minimalist design

9.1. Two banners that changes automatically in the homepage causes distractions, not necessary to have two banners.

9.2. Most colours used in the homepage is red, even the clickable words that directs users to the website's online store, which causes confusion.

9.3. Alignment: Homepage of the website does not have equal spacing for some icons. Refer to Figure 3.1

10. Help and documentation

10.1. Help/FAQS option is located at the bottom of the website.

10.2. Frequently asked questions are answered in detail, with supporting pictures. Refer to Figure 3.2

10.3. No help is given when registering for an account or updating the address.
