Innovative Differention Teaching Strategies Pre-Assessment for Business Correspondenceby Giulio C.Y. Wan
1. HIGH-ACHIEVEMENT STUDENTS 5 students who answered most, including the most difficult, of the pre-assessment questions
1.1. These overachievers are students who are best delegated as group leaders in group activities. These are the students who will help low-achieving students. They are usually the go-to person for any questions other students may have and support other students as well.
2. LOW-ACHIEVEMENT 2 students who appear to have limited knowledge about the topic
2.1. Students will need extra attention and clarification. I will need to differentiate my instructions by re-phrasing and repeating points in the lesson as well as general instructions.
3. AVERAGE STUDENTS: 3 students who have some knowledge about the topic as shown in their score, but need to develop higher order thinking skills
3.1. I will have these students read the course material out loud and follow along in my lesson plans. These students are the best for prompting questions as they are my mid-achievement students that is a balance between the passive low-achievers and top-achievers.
