1.4.2. Context Holocaust Podcast

1.4.3. Method of Instruction Students will listen to a podcast of poems written by survivors of the Holocaust with sounds of war in the background. After students will discuss the meaning of these poems and what the Holocaust was. The will be assigned to groups and will research and answer various questions about the Holocaust.

2.4.2. Goals of each lesson Using Wikipedia students will research who the Allied and Axis powers were during WWII. Once they have gathered this information they will pin-point the countries using Google Maps and add a description/picture/video to each country involved.

2.4.3. Content

2.4.4. Method of Instruction Class discussion to activate previous knowledge of axis and allied powers. Research on allied and axis countries during WWII, gathering of videos and photos for the countries involved. Demonstration of how to use Google Maps.

2.4.5. Method of Evaluation Can they locate the allied and axis powers of WWII? Were they able to locate relevant images and videos that correspond with the countries? Were they able to follow instructions on how to create the map using Google Maps?

3. Videocast Lesson Plan

3.1. Objectives

3.1.1. Affective Domain Students will create a YouTube video answering questions posed to them in a video. They will have to explain in their video how they can appreciate the sacrifices made for them during WWII

3.1.2. Cognitive Domain Works with partner to record and produce a YouTube Video

3.4.2. Students will create a YouTube video explaining how they appreciate the sacrifices made for them during WWII

3.4.3. Method of Instruction Students will watch a YouTube video produced by the teacher that poses questions to them such as how to they appreciate the sacrifices made to them during the war? Students will have to record with a partner a video response and create a YouTube video of their own giving their reasons.
