1. Canada's acceptance of Nuclear weapons.

1.1.1. It would have shown NORAD how invested Canada was.
1.1.1.1. Not doing it would have shown Anti-Americanism and hurt the trade and investment relationship.
1.1.1.1.1. The nuclear weapons were very important to protect Canada against communist aggression.
1.2. AGANIST
1.2.1. Many believed it was connected to global suicide.
1.2.1.1. It was very conflicting to work so closely with the United Nations with disarming the world, and then being a pro-nuclear country.
1.2.1.1.1. Many Canadians were very against this and did not support it one bit.
2. Canada's Role in the Cuban Missile Crisis
2.1. FOR
2.1.1. Being part of something that wasn't really runned passed the United Nations, showed a little bit of Canada betraying them.
2.1.1.1. The Prime Minister at the time was wanting to protect Canada's interest and Independence.
2.1.1.1.1. It was simply a problem between the superpowers and no other country.
2.2. AGAINST
2.2.1. Not helping right away damaged the Canada- America relationship.
2.2.1.1. People of Canada believed that the Prime Minister should have supported America at the start.
2.2.1.1.1. The problem of the missiles did effect Canada a bit because, they could land in Canada if fired.
2.2.1.1.2. In the end Canada ended up sending troops anyways.
3. The Scrapping of the Avro Arrow
3.1. FOR
3.1.1. Bombing warfare was coming to an end and that is all the plane was built for.
3.1.1.1. These plans were big and advanced there for they were very expensive to make
3.1.1.1.1. There was no need for them at the time because, Canada had middle power and was not planning on joining in any wars at the time.
3.2. AGAINST
3.2.1. Canada could have been seen as the leading country in technolgogy, because the plane was so advanced.
3.2.1.1. The plane could have been a great asset to the alliance NORAD.
3.2.1.1.1. The plane could have been adapted to carry missiles.
