5. Reading Journal

5.1. Journal #1: After i was sent to the 13 colonies by my mother i should add i felt hurt and distraught. After visiting my uncle and learning more about him and my mom i found out that we were heading to Florida like the next day. After being on board the Amity we saw a boat and they were girls on it at least we thought there was. After the pirates boarded i had to pretend an indentured servant. His uncle Colonel Gower asked my to be a spy and spy upon the pirates. At first i thought that that was unfair but after my uncle said that it sucks being trapped in a room. Especially if it's aboard an American vessel, “The Revenge”. So now he needs act totally different to act like an indentured slave.

5.2. Journal #2: Creighton has changed a lot from the beginning of the book and now, he is a whole different person. He has even changed from the last few chapters and now. I think that the turning point of the book was when Colonel Gower decided to leave Creighton behind. Then after the printing shop went down the tides turned. Now Creighton wants to hurt Colonel Gower because he caused the death of Benjamin Franklin. Creighton said that he feels the same way about Britain about the colonies when he lived in Britain. He feels like the British were hiding secrets about what was happening in the colonies and what they were doing. Creighton’s perspective has changed a lot because of his uncle, what the British Empire does. His uncle made him feel obsolete from the British Colonies and even from his uncles word and love, because bruise he still has on his head. And he is even turning on his old Country and joining a new one.

5.3. Journal Entry #3: Creighton has changed over the book, because of his look about his home country some may say that, that perspective is bad and incorrect but the book clearly changes the reader's mind if you are with the British colors. But Creighton has turned not only because of the stories and truths told but the people that have suffered because of the British Colors that have been raised in the towns of innocent people. But also for the many people innocent people I may add that have been killed for no reason. Creighton started off as a spy and loyalist but once he met Dr. Franklin and Sophie along with many other brave patriots, his mind had changed. The once loyalist turned on his uncle and Britain and had become a spy of the once so called “enemies”. Near the end of the book Creighton’s image of the Colonies and his home town had totally changed.
