Christian attitudes to pre-marital sex

1. Roman Catholic response

1.1. Roman Catholic church teaches sex only belongs within marriage.

1.1.1. For pro-creaction

1.1.2. "carnal union between an unmarried man and an unmarried woman" (Catechism, #2353)

1.2. Sex outside marriage is not allowed.

1.2.1. Sex outside marriage is considered a sin

2. Anglicican church's response

2.1. Marriage is Gods gift to have a proper setting for sex

2.1.1. Sex should only happen within a marraige

3. Christian response

3.1. Christians believe that sex is an act of love and commitment

3.2. Some Christians will accept pre-marital sex when marriage is likely to follow

4. Evangelical response

4.1. Sex outside marriage is wrong since the bible says so.

4.1.1. Passages 2 Timothy 2:22. Quote"Do not commit adultery"

5. Liberal Christian

5.1. Accepts pre-martial sex. It is important part of the loving relationship.

5.1.1. Supports this by saying Jesus says that the mot important part is Love.

5.2. The old ideas are out of date and now love should be the most important part of anything as Jesus said in the bible so if there is love in the relationship it should be allowed
