1. Big difference between Irish English and Academic English
2. Different grammar structures, e.g.The Government ARE vs. The Government IS
3. The importance of form and coherence
4. Irish English is a very informal dialect so I will need to focus greatly to make sure I'm writing correctly
5. Grammar rules are far more rigid, not as flexible as the spoken language
6. More concise vocabulary and a more efficient writing style is required
7. Emphasis on objectivity, let the actions speak for themselves
8. Studying for a Master's
9. Translating and correcting academic texts
10. Feel that I need to focus more and improve my Academic English
11. I'm studying a Masters in Translation so this will be a very useful subject for me
