SCIENCE UNIT 2

1. THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM: The digestive system is the group of organs in the body that extract nutrients from food and expel undigested waste.

2. THE RESPIRATORY SYSTEM Our cells need oxygen to combine with nutrients and to produce energy. During this process, the cells produce carbon dioxide that has to be expelled from the body. To obtain oxygen and get rid of carbon dioxide we use our respiratory system.

3. The circulatory system delivers blood to the body’s tissues through a heart rate? network of blood vessels. The main organ of the circulatory system is the heart, which sends oxygen and nutrient rich blood to all our cells.

4. The excretory system eliminates or excretes waste products from our body. Our body excretes carbon dioxide, urine and water. The excretory system consists of the urinary system and the sweat glands.
