Weaving contest between Athena and Arachne

1. Athena wasn't very helpful to women but, to Greek hero's.

3. The contest is between Athena and Arachne and it is one of the most familiar myths.

4. In this story Athena challenges Arachne to the challenge of the weaving contest to prove herself

5. No one really wins because in the Anthena loose her pride so she turns Arachne into a spider and dooms her to never weave again.
