1. Chapter 10

1.1. What Comes of Handlin' Snake-skin

1.2. "You said it was the worst bad luck in the world to touch a snake-skin with my hands. Well, here's your bad luck! We've raked in all this truck and eight dollars besides. I wish we could have some bad luck like this every day, jim." (Huck)

1.3. Jim always talks about superstitious things, and in this chapter the superstition in particular was handlin snake skin. Huck didn't listen and saw for himself that this really brings bad luck.
