1. • Peer pressure can lead one to experiment so that one can feel accepted or look cool.
2. • Pop culture that glamorizes the use of drugs can influence young people to mimic what they see and hear.
3. • Feeling that parents don't understand or that school is boring can cause one to try drugs to ease pain or relieve unhappiness.
4. • Parents who drink or use drugs at home put children at risk through the example they set and possibly through some genetic factors.
