3. What is a teleological system?

3.1. Aristotle believed that everything in this world has cause (things that drive them to be created)

4. He provides 4 causes

4.1. Material Cause- the thing from which the thing is made

4.1.1. Formal Cause- the shape or form a thing must take in order to be recognized

4.1.1.1. Efficent Cause- The actual force used to make the thing

4.1.1.1.1. Final Cause- Greek virtue of wisdom, perfection, beauty, math matical perfection

6.1. He stated "All Men by nature desire to know. An example is the delight we take in our senses

6.1.1. He feels that it is our senses that make us curious, wanting to learn more

6.1.1.1. He believes that nature does nothing by chance and we use senses to understand the world

7. How does Aristotle differ from Plato and Socrates?

7.1. Aristotle is a scientific and practical thinker

7.1.1. He does not believe in the world of the forms, but think thats everything that we can understand are the things that can be TOUGHT

7.1.1.1. He creates and applies a scientific model to philosophical investigation.

8. Where do the forms reside?

8.1. Aristotle believes that he forms lie inside the thing themselve

8.1.1. EXAMPLE: a form of the oak tree is inside of the acorn

8.1.1.1. Each thing we see is all apart of a system
